What a great time at the trial we all had. Beautiful weather, good friends, fun celebrations, gorgeous venue and lots of help – what could be better?
So many people pitched in to help, it was a great club atmosphere. A special thanks go to Steve Maxwell (Orville’s Son) for coming out to help with set up and tear down – it was great to have him! Anna Repke (and kids), Nancy Flynn, Kathy Kawalec, Bill & Linda Murray, Linda Johnson, Kathy Wright, Chuck Dimit, Peg Anderson – all came out to early help with the set up on the stormy Thursday. Laura Tomaszewski, Denise Teal, Lori Perry, Wendy Villarreal, Anna Repke, Nancy Lindsay, Nancy Flynn, Kathy Farkos, Bob Towner, Diana Antlitz, Lisa Williams and Candice Sandberg – helped with set out, scribing, posting scores and generally keeping the trial going. The tear down crew was so effecient: Bill Murray (our expert packer and truck driver), Ron Baucom (also expert packer), Chuck Dimit, Becky Goodwyn, John Seraphine, John Grosse, Wayne Goodwyn, Linda Murray, The Repke Family, Steve Maxwell. It is clear we have a great club with lots of people willing to help make our trials run smoothly. Thanks to all who pitched in – if I missed mentioning you by name – it is purely an accident so please accept my apologies and my thanks.

A really big thank you to Becky and Wayne Goodwyn. Becky always helps keep the judge and set out crew fed and happy, the scores tallied and the awards in order. Wayne was great at keeping all the dog/sheep water bins fresh and filled. And thanks to both of them for keeping the camp grounds and park monitored. Oh and thanks to their son Thomas for running errands around the park on his new ATV 🙂 We hope to see him out running his new dog soon.
Bob Washer was a great and courteous judge, Kathy Kawalec set some nice courses as Course Director and Wendy Peters provided "spot on" spotting all weekend.
At this trial, we announced our club "year end" awards. These awards are only available for club members and are for the highest scoring handler/dog team in each class from the May & August trials. They are:
